CREATING A THERAPUTIC MILUE Course
This 45-minute In-Person Instructor-Led course was developed and researched by Dr. Laura Meverden. Dr. Laura used Subject Matter Experts to consult on the areas of Trauma, and Therapeutic Milue. This topic is required by the Wisconsin Department of Children and Family Services (DCF) to be included in New Orientation for Direct Care Workers. However, DCF does not give any parameters or guidance on what should be included.
Laura then worked with an SME who also wanted to present this topic during New Hire Orientation. This is an example of Laura's instructional design skills and her ability to create training for other facilitators.
